Design of the Infinix GT 10 Pro
After seeing the Infinix GT 10 Pro, I can appreciate Carl Pei, one of the co-founders of Nothing, feeling frustrated. The device was modelled after the Nothing Phone, and from a distance, it is simple to confuse the two. As opposed to the Nothing Phone, the Infinix GT 10 Pro does not entirely have a transparent design, making it impossible to see inside. The company refers to this design as the Cyber Meca, and it has textures on the back panel that resemble those on the Nothing Phone. The customisable mini-LED indicator located inside the Infinix GT 10 Pro’s camera compartment is an intriguing feature. It differs from the Nothing Phone because of this, which has a Glyph interface.Looking back, one notices a prominent camera module. The back panel’s texture is the same as this one. This module adds a novel twist to the conventional torch function by vertically mounting two sizable camera sensors, one sensor, and an LED ring light.
The smartphone’s microphone is located at its top, and its USB Type-C port, 3.5 mm headphone jack, and speaker grille are located at its bottom. The glossy finish on the smartphone’s frame was one feature I didn’t find all that appealing. It appeared to take away from the overall aesthetic.There are two seductive colour choices for the Infinix GT 10 Pro. The phone I received for review was the Mirage Silver model, which had an elegant appearance, but in my opinion, the Cyber Black variant further emphasises the phone’s futuristic and gaming-focused appearance.Even though the phone takes design cues from other brands, I think the phone is made quite well. However, the design aspect is generally very subjective. The gadget has a punk, gaming-focused vibe that will probably appeal to young customers.The Infinix GT 10 Pro’s all-plastic body contributes to its lightweight and user-friendly feel while also enhancing the construction quality. The phone’s flat edges give it a sleek and modern look that makes me think of the iPhone design.
Infinix GT 10 Pro: Display
The 6.67-inch screen on the Infinix GT 10 Pro has a resolution of 1080×2040 pixels and a maximum brightness of 900 nits. Also impressively supported by the display are a high refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 360Hz. In actual use, the screen is still bright and readable even in full sunlight.The display’s colour reproduction is punchy and vibrant, offering a pleasing visual experience. The content can shine without being distracted thanks to the minimal bezels around the corners, which enhance the immersive viewing experience. I had a pleasurable viewing experience while watching a few shows and videos on my phone. Although not particularly loud, the speakers still make the device a good option for people who like to watch videos and shows.
Infinix GT 10 Pro: Performance and battery
The Infinix GT 10 Pro’s lightning-fast speed immediately impressed me after I set it up. As soon as you unlock the device and begin browsing the apps, the quick performance is obvious. The device features a Dimensity 8050 processor, 8GB of RAM, 8GB of extended RAM, and a sizable 256GB of internal storage. A seamless user experience and seamless multitasking are made possible by this combination.Bloatware is not present on the Infinix GT 10 Pro, which I found to be a significant improvement. Previously, Infinix smartphones had too many unused apps, but this new model runs Android 13 and Infinix’s most recent Pure XOS. It’s reassuring to see that none of those annoying apps are anymore on the phone. Comparing the interface to earlier Infinix phones, it appears much cleaner.
I didn’t experience any lags when switching between apps or browsing websites during my week of using the device. The phone didn’t overheat either, with the exception of a small amount of heat when the camera app was left running for longer than 15 minutes.The Infinix GT 10 Pro performed admirably in benchmark results. On Geekbench 6, it scored 1102 for single-core performance and 3398 for multi-core performance. These results show a strong performance, and I can say with certainty that the phone performs even better in everyday situations. Unexpectedly, I also recently tested the Realme 11 Pro+, which costs almost Rs 5000 more than the Infinix phone but performed better in benchmarking and real-world usage.
Regarding gaming performance, if you are one of the lucky 5000 purchasers, you will receive gaming controls and finger sleeves to enhance your gaming experience. I personally tried Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) and Asphalt 9 on the Infinix GT 10 Pro, and I was very impressed with the gaming experience.Playing games like BGMI, Asphalt, and other graphics-intensive titles on the phone didn’t cause any frame drops, even at high graphic settings. The enjoyable gaming experience contributed to the phone’s overall favourable impression. Furthermore, I observed that the phone remained cool to the touch even after 30 minutes of gaming, which is essential for enjoyable gaming sessions. Infinix has expertise in this area.
Infinix GT 10 Pro: Battery
A 45W fast charger can be used with the 5000mAh battery inside the Infinix GT 10 Pro. I ran a test using the LAB501 battery app, which involves playing a video continuously while keeping track of the battery drop and time, to evaluate the battery performance. After playing the video nonstop for more than 30 minutes, the battery only showed a 3% loss during the test. The phone’s battery was at 88 percent when I started the test, and after the 30-minute playback, it dropped to 85 percent.Moreover, the phone could easily last for more than a day on a single charge with moderate usage such as web browsing, app switching, and other common tasks.
Infinix GT 10 Pro: Camera
The Infinix Gt 10 Pro could have, in my opinion, been significantly better in this particular area. I was a little let down by how well the camera worked. Despite having a 108-megapixel camera, it doesn’t produce images as well as other smartphones with the same camera sensor.The pictures appear less clear in daylight because they are not sharp and lack essential details. Some pictures also seem a little bit faded. Despite having a respectable shutter speed, the camera has trouble effectively capturing minute details. The macro photographs come out flat and uninspired. The camera performs only mediocrely in low light, with the images lacking in sharpness and details. Additionally, it struggles to achieve the proper white balance, which affects the overall colour accuracy.
The Infinix GT 10 Pro: Is it worth buying?
With its quick performance, long-lasting battery, and gaming capabilities, the Infinix GT 10 Pro is impressive. The Nothing Phone-inspired design is sleek and appealing to young customers. The phone operates without much bloatware and has a vibrant display. The 108-megapixel setup, however, fails to produce clear, detailed images in both bright and dim lighting, which is disappointing for a camera. Despite all the upgrades the phone needs, I believe it provides good value for the money, especially for gamers looking for a dependable and effective device.
